Mark E. Kaplan, M.D.
Allergist / Immunologist
Dr.
Mark E. Kaplan joined Allergy and Asthma Consultants,
Ltd. in 1993 and has expanded the practice to include
offices in Gurnee and Libertyville, Illinois. Dr. Kaplan
graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa and subsequently
received his M.D. from the University of Health Sciences / the
Chicago Medical School. He completed a residency in
internal medicine at Northwestern University followed by a
fellowship in pediatric and adult allergy / immunology at
Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Kaplan is
board-certified in internal medicine and allergy / immunology
and re-certified in allergy / immunology in 2003.
Dr.
Kaplan is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma
and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology. He is a clinical instructor of Medicine at
Northwestern University and supervises medical students from
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr.
Kaplan is a member of the medical staffs of Lake Forest
Hospital, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, Condell Medical
Center and Victory Memorial Hospital. Chicago
Magazine has named him one of Chicago's "Top 10 Doctors" on
multiple occasions.

Joel
S. Klein, M.D. Allergist / Immunologist
Dr. Joel
S. Klein joined Allergy and Asthma Consultants, Ltd. in July
2008. A native
of Chicago, he received his B.A. from Northwestern
University, M.S. from University of Illinois-Urbana and M.D.
from University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical
School. His
residency training in internal medicine was at
Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Klein’s training in
adult and pediatric allergy/immunology was a 3-year
fellowship at Mayo Clinic during 1992-1995. Since 1995, he has been in
clinical practice in the north suburban Chicago
area.
Dr.
Klein is a past president of the Illinois Society of
Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and is currently the
society’s Historian. He has an academic
appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at
Rush Medical College and regularly presents lectures on
allergy/immunology to medical students, interns and
residents at Rush North Shore Hospital. Dr. Klein has authored and
co-authored a number of publications in the specialty of
allergic diseases. He has been recognized by
Castle Connelly as a top allergist in the Chicago
area.
Dr.
Klein is board-certified and re-certified in
Allergy/Immunology and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and of
the American College of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology. Dr.
Klein is on the medical staffs of Highland Park Hospital,
Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Lake Forest Hospital,
Rush North Shore Hospital and Lutheran General
Hospital.

Stacie A. McMurtry,
M.D. Allergist /
Immunologist
Dr.
Stacie McMurtry received her undergraduate degree in biology
from Stanford University. She continued her education at
the University of Michigan where she received her doctorate in
medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at
the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia / University of
Pennsylvania. Dr. McMurtry went on to complete her
pediatric and adult allergy / immunology fellowship at
Children's Memorial Hospital / Northwestern University in
Chicago. Dr. McMurtry is board-certified in pediatrics
and allergy / immunology and has attained fellowship status at
the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of
Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr.
McMurtry is on staff at Children's Memorial Hospital, Evanston
Northwestern Healthcare, Lake Forest Hospital and Condell
Medical Center. Dr. McMurtry joined Allergy and Asthma
Consultants, Ltd. in 2002 and has a special interest in
pediatric asthma and allergic diseases.

Sandra Denman, P.A.-C.
Physician Assistant -
Certified
Sandra Denman, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant
with a special interest in pediatric and adult asthma and
allergic rhinitis. She joined Allergy and Asthma Consultants,
Ltd. in 2002.
Ms.
Denman received her master of physician assistant studies
degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois,
where she graduated magna cum laude. Prior to that, Ms.
Denman graduated magna cum laude from the University of
Wisconsin-Parkside, where she received a bachelor of science
degree in biology.
